We just had one of the most exciting weeks of the campaign to date.

With just under a month to go before the July 19 primary, we kicked off a major paid media investment with our first TV ad. Airing statewide on broadcast TV, cable news, streaming, and digital — our ad will bring our #DoWhatWorks message to hundreds of thousands of voters.

Our TV ad has been well received in the press. Maryland Matters provided a detailed summary of the ad, and it’s been mentioned in the Washington Post and other outlets. We’ve also heard positive feedback from voters across the state.

And with voting already underway, it’s more important than ever that our message reach the whole state. [Click here to help us spread the word!]

But that’s not the only big development. A couple weeks ago, Maryland Public Television hosted the first televised debate of the campaign. Click HERE to watch the full debate, where we made clear that — unlike the other candidates — we’re not just proposing one unproven government program after another and hoping it’ll work.

Instead, our campaign is laser-focused on expanding solutions that have actually been tested in the real world and proven to make a big difference in people’s lives — like a Statewide Tutoring Corps to help every struggling first- and second-grader in the entire state of Maryland.

In fact, some of the other candidates are starting to catch on!:

We’ve also continued to meet with voters all across the state. At a forum hosted by the Democratic Club of Riderwood Village, we shared our vision for improving education, gun safety, and healthcare — and our message continued to resonate.

And finally, we capped off an exciting week by meeting with the heads of the local Democratic Party chapters.

The race is heating up, and we’re excited for what’s to come.

Let’s #DoWhatWorks, Maryland!

Upcoming Events

Baltimore City Democratic Club Forum: We will be participating in a virtual candidate forum on Tuesday, June 28th at 6:30pm. The forum will be hosted by the Baltimore City Democratic Club.

Thank You!

We have less than a month left before the primary, and I’m asking for your help in the coming weeks so that we can close out strong. Please support us by donating, or by sharing our TV ad on Facebook. And don’t forget to vote for Jon Baron and Natalie Williams on Election Day or through early voting!

Together, we can bring a fundamentally new governing approach to Maryland based on solutions that have been shown to improve lives.
